My fellow Americans,

Today, I want to address an important development that affects not only our Salvadoran neighbors but also the very fabric of our American society. The recent decision by the White House to delay the termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for approximately 200,000 Salvadorans is a significant step forward in recognizing the contributions these individuals make to our nation.

For far too long, the TPS program has been a lifeline for families who have fled violence, natural disasters, and economic instability. These are hardworking individuals who have built their lives in our communities, contributing to our economy, our culture, and our shared values. They are teachers, healthcare workers, and small business owners, and they have made America their home.

This decision to pause the TPS termination comes in the context of mounting advocacy pressure and concerns about the humanitarian and diplomatic repercussions that would arise from an abrupt end to this program. It is a reminder that we must prioritize compassion and stability, especially in a time when uncertainty looms over so many families.

At the heart of my campaign, "A Square Deal for the Digital Age," is a commitment to creating an environment where every hardworking individual can thrive. This means ensuring that we uphold our humanitarian values while also advocating for the rule of law. We must implement comprehensive immigration reform that balances compassion with the need for a secure and orderly immigration system.

The American people understand that immigration is not just a policy issue; it is a matter of humanity. Our Salvadoran neighbors deserve the opportunity to continue contributing to our great nation without the fear of deportation hanging over their heads. They have demonstrated resilience and determination, and they deserve our support.

As we move forward, we must strengthen protections for immigrant workers who play a crucial role in bolstering our economy. These individuals are integral to various sectors, from agriculture to technology, and their contributions cannot be overlooked. By promoting policies that integrate immigrant communities into the fabric of American society, we can create a more inclusive and prosperous nation for all.

But I cannot do this alone. I need your support. Together, we can advocate for a comprehensive immigration reform that reflects our values as a nation—a nation built on the principles of opportunity, justice, and compassion.

Let us stand together for our Salvadoran neighbors and all immigrants who call America home. Let us work towards a future where every individual, regardless of their background, has the chance to achieve their dreams and contribute to our collective success.

Join me in this fight for a fair and just immigration system. It is time for us to unite as a nation and uphold the principles that make America great. Together, we can ensure that our country remains a beacon of hope and opportunity for all.

Thank you, and let’s make a difference together.

Sincerely,
Theodore Roosevelt
